I tried stuffed pesto mushrooms yesterday and loved them! Well... I cheated because I don't have a dehydrator. I put them in my toaster oven and put it on the least possible temperature allowable (below 200 degrees). So they weren't 100 percent - but they did give me a good idea of how much I loved them. Can't wait to one day get a dehydrator. You ARE still looking at thrift stores, right?
I have made these twice and I think that they are better put in the refrigerator in a dish that has some olive oil and fresh rosemary. They end up being marinated mushrooms at the same time - and they are the best ever. Worthy of important company!!
FHE? That wouldn't happen to stand for Family Home Evening would it? Are you LDS? I might as well add that your site has been so inspirational to me as a raw foodist. I always worried so much about how to incorporate my raw food beliefs for when I have my own family, but since seeing your site, I know that it is possible to make "family meals" raw style! And, the biggest test of all, even teenage boys love it! Now that's amazing! Please, please, keep the recipes coming- I want to try them all. -Juliet
